Cleaning (part 1): Do yourself a very big favour. Clean your computer. Inside and out. Cleaning the insides at least once every six months is essential to avoid system failures. Yes, you can get by for two, even three years without cleaning it, but how essential is your data? One power spike with dust inside your system and your data may be toast. Your choice, of course.

Cleaning (part 2): Beware of the other type of virus! How many people touch your keyboard or mouse in a day? Many human diseases are transferred via objects we touch every day. Door knobs, money, keyboards and computer mice are objects that many people touch every day. If a single person with the flu or a cold comes in contact with a computer keyboard, how many of your people will get sick? Why take that chance? As an employer, you should be sure your computer systems are disinfected on a regular basis.

Web pages: Obviously you are connected to the Internet. How many company web sites have you been to recently that have those ridiculous "Flash" start pages? Is it just me? If I decide I want to advertise on the Internet, I'm doing it because I want as many people as possible to see my site. Why would I create a "Flash" start page unless I knew everyone who was looking at it had high speed internet and a flash player installed? "Flash" pages are not made for companies who are advertising on the Internet - they're made for programmers who want to show off. Most people skip the "Flash" intros anyway.

Training: Does your computer expertise go as far as knowing where the power button is? Not even that far? No matter what people tell you, it's right over your head?
